Choosing awards
An award has one job: to make somebody feel seen in front of the people they work with. Custom awards mark long-service milestones, top sales numbers, retirements, volunteer years and the occasional person who kept the whole office running. They tend to stay on a shelf for the rest of a career, so it's worth spending more thought here than on a typical giveaway.
Words come first. Write out the recipient's name, title, date and citation before picking anything, because a long message rules out a small piece. Then have someone else read it, since a typo is hard to live down on something permanent. Your proof is the moment to catch this, and nothing gets produced until you've approved it, so read it slowly and twice.
No minimum order is a real advantage here, because you might only need a single award for one very deserving person. If you're planning a banquet, work backward from the event and check the production time listed on each product page before you print the invitations. Consider the weight and size as well, since the winner has to carry it back to the table.
