Choosing towels
Towels cover a lot of territory. There's the small one clipped to a golf bag, the rally towel waved in the stands, the gym towel handed over at reception and the big beach version that comes out for summer staff parties. Pin down which of those you're buying before you browse, because each one is really a separate product with a separate budget.
Texture changes everything about decoration. A towel with a looped surface can swallow fine lines and tiny text, so simple logos work best, and a smooth printed panel can handle more detail. Check the decoration method on each product page. For a hotel or spa, a modest embroidered mark tends to feel right, while a rally towel should be as loud as your crowd.
Size is easy to misjudge online, so take out a tape measure and hold up the listed dimensions in the real world. What feels generous on screen can be tiny on a beach. Colour deserves thought as well: white shows dirt and dark colours can hide a dark logo, so match the towel to where it's going and what it'll be wiping.
