About this product

This mixed media glass collage utilizes a treatment that originated at the time paper was invented in China circa 200 BC. The collage technique was also used by 10th century Japanese calligraphers. A black glass central element is first sculpted to provide a contrasting background for the brighter design elements. A second gather of clear casing glass is then applied to provide a layer on which to "float" the collage applique. 3" W x 7" H
